Kiwi fruit (Kiwifruit, Actinidia chinensis) can be used to treat acute hepatitis, difficult urination, such as urinary retention (ischuria, lack of ability to urinate), dysuria (painful urination) and hematuria (blood in urine).

Kiwi fruit is a juicy fruit with a refreshing acid flavor. Kiwi fruit is a very rich source of Vitamin C, more than an orange or a lemon. Kiwi fruit has cooling properties. Vitamin C is the active ingredient that appeared to fix the liver. Kiwi fruit has high concentrations of ascorbic acid and carotenoids.

According to Professor Robin Fraser, of Otago University’s Christchurch School of Medicine, Kiwi fruit appears to be the perfect food for preventing all sorts of liver problems, as well as keeping white blood cells healthy. He said that a daily dose of kiwifruit, along with a healthier lifestyle, appeared to be able to reopen those holes in the liver.
