Lingzhi (Reishi, 灵芝, Ganoderma lucidum) is used as a folk remedy in Chinese food therapy to help treat many diseases, such as coronary heart disease, diabetes, persistent hepatitis, neurasthenia and sleep disorders.

The following are four recipes.

1. Lingzhi Soybean Powder for Coronary Heart Disease

– Lingzhi 60g
– Soybean 180g
– Dry roast the lingzhi and soybeans in a hot pan or oven
– Cool down completely
– Grind to a fine powder
– Immerse 10g of the powder in boiling water, 3 times a day

2. Lingzhi Huai Shan Soup for Diabetes

– Lingzhi 15g
– Huai Shan (Chinese wild yam) 30g
– Put them in a pot with 2 cups of water
– Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes
– Eat it once a day

3. Lingzhi Licorice for Persistent Hepatitis

– Lingzhi 6g
– Licorice 4g
– Make a decoction
– Consume it twice a day

4. Lingzhi Oatmeal Porridge for Neurasthenia and Sleep Disorders

– Lingzhi (make it as a powder) 10g
– Oatmeal 50g
– Sugar 1 table spoon
– Water 2 cups
– Cook them as a porridge
– Eat it once a day
