Food Therapy for Intestinal Parasites (Worms) – Anti-Parasitic Diet. There are many foods that have anti-parasitic effects, such as garlic, caraway, pomegranate, pumpkin, almond, pineapple, papaya, coconut, flax and carrot.

1. Garlic

Garlic has been found to have effects against roundworm and other worms. Consuming two cloves of raw garlic daily can help to excel intestinal parasites. Here is a remedy using garlic to eliminate intestinal worms:

– Cut 15-20 cloves of garlic into small pieces
– Heat 1 cup of milk to a boil

– Drink 3-4 tablespoons of the milk before breakfast
– Once a day for three days

2. Caraway Seeds

It is said that caraway seeds can be used to expel intestinal parasites. The oil from the seeds can be used as an enema for intestinal parasites. The following is another folk remedy using caraway seed powder for eliminating intestinal worms in children:

– Make some caraway seeds into fine powder
– Place the powder on a wet gauze
– Warm the gauze up
– Apply it to the affected stomach / abdomen area
– This remedy is said to eliminate the worms

3. Pomegranate

The bark of branches and roots of pomegranate tree is highly toxic to intestinal worms. It has strong effects to get rid of some intestinal parasite worms in the human intestine. Here is a remedy:

– Boil dried bark 30-50g in a cup of water for 20 minutes to make a decoction
– Drink it twice a day for a few days
– If you cannot find the bark, you may use the peels of pomegranate fruit

Pomegranate is not a “worm-friendly” fruit. you may also add pomegranate fruit or pomegranate juice into your diet. Drink 4 cups of pomegranate juice daily for 4-5 days. This will make intestinal worms hard to live in your intestines.

4. Pumpkin

5. Almond

It is said that almonds have mild effects to help cleanse and discourage intestinal parasite growth. Almond may be not powerful enough to eliminate intestinal worms, but it is another food that is not “worm-friendly”. You may add it to your diet.

6. Pineapple

Pineapple contains the digestive enzyme bromelain. It is said to help clear certain intestinal worms, such as tapeworms. You may eat pineapple once a while, or drink pineapple juice daily for several days.

7. Papaya

Papaya contains enzymes and glycosides like caricin and carpaine that help kill intestinal worms. Papaya seeds are more effective than the papaya fruit. Here is the remedy:

– Mix them with some honey
– Take it twice a day for 3 days
– This will clear stools of parasites

8. Coconut

Coconut oil contains caprylic acid that has shown anti-bacterial and anti-parasitic properties. It expels tapeworms, lice, giardia, and other parasites. You can often eat coconuts, use coconut milk or coconut oil.

9. Flax

It is said that flax seeds help parasite cleanse. You may add flax seeds to your daily diet. Here is a remedy:

– Make 300g flax seeds into a fine powder
– Take 30g powder per day for 3 days, following by a 3 day break, then take the powder for another 3 days
– Repeat the treatment for 1 month
– It is said to cleanse all kinds of intestinal parasites

10. Carrot

It is said that carrot juice is very effective for pinworms. Here is a folk remedy:

– Cut carrots into small pieces
– Eat a cup of it without breakfast for 5 days
– This will eliminate the intestinal parasites

You may also often eat carrots or drink carrot juice.

The above foods all have anti-parasitic effects. They may not have powerful clinical effects as the anti-parasitic drugs made of chemicals, but they are regular foods that are “chemical-free” and much safer and less side-effects.
