Menstruation Pain (or dysmenorrhoea, painful menstrual cramp) is a very common condition among women. It usually occurs before periods. How to relieve the menstrual pain? The following are 9 home remedies:

Warming therapies:

1. Heating Pad. If you don’t have a heating pad, you can make one by filling a bottle with water, and heating it in a microwave over for a few minutes. Then use it on your lower abdomen.

2. Warm Bath. Take bathing in moderately hot water is good for relieving menstrual pain.

3. Hair Dryer. Use your hair dryer to warm your lower abdomen. It will have the same effects as the heating pad.

4. Exercises. Do exercise (walking or running) to warm your body up. It will reduce your menstrual pain.

Warming food and herbs:

5. Ginger and Brown sugar. Boil them for 10 minutes, and drink it.

6. Cinnamon. Add cinnamon to your soup or tea. You can also boil cinnamon for 10 minutes, and drink it.

7. Lamb. Lamb has warming properties. You can use lamb to make a soup. Don’t add vegetables to it, only add ginger.

8. Frankinsense and Myrrh. The combination of the two herbs is an effective blood-moving and pain-relief remedy. Boil frankinsense 10g and myrrh 10g in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes, and drink it.

9. Wine. Pour some wine into a cup, and heating it to warm, and drink it.
