Belleric myrobalan (Bibhitaki) can be externally used for eye care, hair care, wound care, and swollen and pain relief.

Beleric myrobalan is effective for treating eye disorders. The paste of its fruits is applied on the eyelids in conjunctivitis. The fruit can treat numerous other eye ailments like myopia, corneal opacity immature cataract, and chronic and acute eye infective conditions. Beleric myrobalan can be used as a soothing lotion over eyes. The herb can be made into fine powder and is beneficial to cure epiphora (watering of the eyes).

The seed oil of belleric myrobalan (bibhitaki) is beneficial to premature graying of hair. It boosts the hair growth and imparts black color to them. Many herbal hair products contain the fruit of belleric myrobalan as a chief ingredient because it helps boost hair growth and the blackness of the color.
