You should not use pure clove oil on the skin. You should always use a carrier oil (grapeseed oil, almond oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil) to dilute it before applying it to the skin.

How to make a remedy with clove oil:

– Prepare a small bottle
– Add 1 table spoon of grapeseed oil or almond oil into the bottle
– Add 2 drops of clove oil into the bottle
– Mix them by shaking the bottle
– Apply it onto acne (do not on the entire face)
– Gently massaging it in with your fingertips

Do you own test by following the method:

– If you can see the improvement, and no damage on the skin, then continue using it.
– If your skin is sensitive to it, then stop using it.
– If there is no improvement and no damage on the skin, then add 2 more drops of clove oil to the bottle, and apply it to the affected spots. Continue this test until find the best dosage.

Please note, do not use pure clove oil onto your skin because it may burn your skin. Please keep in mind, clove oil may have effect in treat some type of acne, but may not work for everyone. In 2006, a British study found that the substance called eugenol in clove oil has effect to damage bacteria, but it damages human skin cells as well. So please consult your doctor before using it.
