Many women suffer from the problems of PMS and menstruation: headache, depression, irritability, anxiety and mood swings. These problems can be eased by aromatherapy and essential oils, such as chamomile, lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint, and rosemary.

PMS (or premenstrual syndrome: a syndrome that occurs in many women before the onset of menstruation) and menstrual cramps are very common problems among women. The essential oils are calming, soothing, harmonizing, as well as anti-depressant. They are recommended for headaches, irritability, over-sensitivity, restlessness and anxiety caused by PMS and menstrual problems.

How to use aromatherapy and the essential oils to relieve the above PMS and menstrual problems

1. Use an inhaler. Follow the instructions and add the essential oil to the inhaler.

2. Place a few drops of the essential oil to your finger, and rub it to your temples (the side of the head behind the eyes), or rub it to your philtrum (the vertical groove located in the area between the upper lip and the nose), or rub it to your chest.

3. Place a pot on the stove, add a cup of water, heat it to boil, add a few drops of the essential oil, take deep breaths in the steam for a while.

You can use one of the essential oils. Please note, you should avoid getting them into your eyes.
