Ginger is very effective to treat shiver or chill symptoms in upper and middle body (especially lung and stomach). Ginger can warm and stimulate lung and stomach and relieve the symptoms of cold, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

If you have common cold or flu, with nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, or if you eat cold food and feel that your stomach is uncomfortable, then you can use ginger to relieve the symptoms.

If your nausea is caused by motion, or pregnancy, you can also use ginger to treat it.

There are many digestive, antinausea, and cold and flu dietary supplements sold in the market containing ginger extract as an ingredient. You can use these supplements, or use raw ginger to make a ginger tea. Here is how to make a ginger tea:

Cute ginger into small pieces, boil it in water for 20 minutes. Drink it while lukewarm.

Please note:

1. If you have fever, internal injuries, or inflammation, you should not use ginger, because ginger is a warming herb, using ginger to treat a patient who suffered from fever or inflammation is like adding fuel to the fire.

2. If your vomiting is caused by food poisoning, you should not use ginger. Because it would be better to expel the poisoning food out of the body by vomiting, than using ginger to stimulate the stomach to digest it.
