Lingzhi, Lotus seed, Bai He and Pork Soup is a recipe in Chinese food therapy. It is used to help treat dry lungs, dry cough and TB (tuberculosis).

According to traditional Chinese medicine, lingzhi (ganoderma lucidum), lotus seed and bai he (lily bulb) all have the properties of cleansing lung fire and are often combined in the formulas to treat dry coughs.

Recipe:

Lingzhi (ganoderma lucidum) 6g
Lotus Seed 30g
Bai He (lily bulb) 30g
Pork 200g (cut into 1-inch pieces)

Directions:

Put the above herbs and pork in a pot with 4-6 cups of water
Bring to a boil, and simmer for 60 minutes
Eat the soup once a day

This remedy is said to calm the nerves, strengthen the spleen, moisten lung dryness and stop dry coughs. It can be used to treat coughs caused by Yin (fluid) deficiency in lungs and pulmonary tuberculosis.
